Tone and Tighten Your Face with a Non-Surgical Botox Eyebrow Lift

If friends are always asking you if you’re tired when you’re feeling fine, it may be due to sagging eyebrows or droopy eyelids. There’s a simple, non-invasive way to correct these facial features. MybotoxLA offers eyebrow lift with Botox and Xeomin injections.

Whether your droopy brows are to aging or genetics, these reworked, injectable forms of Botulinum toxin, are safe and effective for giving the muscles above your brows – and the upper half of your face – a lift without surgery.

What is an Botox Eyebrow Lift?

For many years, a surgical procedure called a forehead lift or brow lift had been the only way for many patients to smooth out wrinkles and lift droopy eyebrows. Now there’s a non-invasive option for correcting droopy eyebrows.

A Botox brow lift treatment works well on all skin types. The treatment lifts skin around and above the eyebrows, moving the natural arch slightly higher. The muscles above the brows are temporarily frozen in place.

The eyebrows remain in a lifted position until the solution wears out, in anywhere from six to eight months. Maintenance treatments are required to keep the muscles above the eyebrows “frozen” for a lifted appearance.

Outpatient Treatments for Botox Eye Lift

A non-surgical botox eye lift using an injection of IncobotulinumtoxinA or OncobotulinumtoxinA positions the brows to better suit your face. Both of these solutions are slightly different formulations of the same substance, and are derived from a toxin formed by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.

The injection can create a raised horizontal brow, a raised arched brow or the tail of the brow can be raised. You’ll need to discuss your goals with our medical professional during consultation.

In small doses, botulinum  are also used to freeze the muscles on and around the forehead to smooth existing lines and prevent new lines from forming. This helps to give your face and brows a cleaner, more youthful look.

Some patients may benefit from combining a botox eyebrow lift treatment before or after a chemical peel. Some chemical peels are designed to elevate eyebrows and smooth lines on the forehead.

Another non surgical alternative to a Botox eyebrow lift is Ultherapy brow lift which is an amazing non invasive treatment worth looking in to. Check out the ultherapy before and after photos.

Are You a Good Candidate for a Botox Eyebrow Lift?

You may be a good candidate if you have droopy eyelids or low-hanging brows. Sagging eyebrows may give you a tired or grumpy appearance. The procedure is recommend for individuals with mild brow drooping, or patients who want more balanced facial features.

You may also want to consider an botox brow lift if you have horizontal lines across your forehead, furrows or frown lines between your brows, or excess skin hanging over your eyes.

A Botox brow lift shapes the eyebrows and “opens up” the face to give you a younger appearance.

Precautions and Side Effects

Common side effects of non-surgical eyebrow lift with botox include:

  • Headache
  • Eyelid swelling or bruising
  • Dry eyes
  • Pain or swelling at site of injection
  • Muscle weakness near injection site
  • Dizziness
  • Fatigue
  • Flu-like symptoms

These side effects usually pass within a few days of your treatment. Call your doctor if pain or swelling persist.

If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you’ve had an allergic reaction to OncobotulinumtoxinA or IncobotulinumtoxinA in the past, you shouldn’t have a non- invasive brow lift. Individuals with neuromuscular disorders (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, etc.), should contact their doctors before committing to treatment.

Don’t take the following medicines or supplements a week before treatment, as they thin the blood:

  • Aspirin
  • Fish oil
  • Garlic
  • Vitamin E
  • Excedrin
  • Aleve
  • Advil
  • Ginseng

Avoid drinking alcohol for about a week before your treatment.

What Happens During a Botox Eyebrow Lift?

The treatment is conducted by our trained, experienced medical professional to ensure proper placement of the eyebrow. When the procedure is conducted by an inexperienced provider, the patient may find his or her brows uneven, or have a perpetually surprised look.

At your pre-treatment consultation, our medical aesthetician will do a facial analysis. If you’re a candidate for a non-invasive brow lift, she will help you choose between two types of Botulim toxin, OnabotulinumtoxinA and IncobotulinumtoxinA, to temporarily freeze the muscles over and around your eyebrows.

Before your botox eye lift treatment, you may receive a numbing agent before the injection(s). Most patients don’t need this, as the treatment is virtually painless.

Our medical staff marks the area or areas to be treated. You’ll feel a quick pinch as she injects the preferred substance into the muscles necessary for pulling the eyebrows downward. Overall, treatment only takes between 10 and 15 minutes.

You’ll notice an improvement in two to three days, with most patients seeing full results in seven to 10 days. The muscles above the eye area, now weakened by the injectable solution, smooth away grooves and frown lines. The relaxed muscles at the top of the eyebrows give the forehead and eyebrow area a more youthful, toned appearance.

Botox Eyebrow Lift After Care

For 24 hours after treatment:

  • Avoid intense exercise or any strenuous activity.
  • Don’t touch or rub the injection area.
  • Avoid drinking large amounts of alcohol.
  • Don’t get a chemical peel, facial or microdermabrasion.

Use ice packs to control bruising at the injection site.

Follow-Up Treatments

When you visit our medi-spa on your follow-up appointment about two weeks after treatment, we will assess the results. If you need touch-ups, they can be performed at this time.

When you visit our offices for maintenance treatment, you’ll notice that you’ll see results faster with each succeeding visit. It’s important to schedule maintenance appointments as soon as you notice a change in your brows’ appearance. Your brows will start drooping again if you discontinue maintenance treatments.
